John Bonner, Auto Glass Specialist | The Importance of Finding a Mentor and Being a Good Mentee

Hello Everyone!

Welcome back to the Owner's Journal, Episode 8 with John Bonner. Today we talked about John's journey from working at Little Caesar's and dreaming of painting cars to owning a successful auto glass business with multiple locations. John's early entrepreneurial dreams of owning a glass shop (after realizing that painting cars wasn't his passion) got him fired from his day job in a glass shop, and thrust him into the world of business ownership. Starting with an old pickup with a salvage title and a tool kit, John was able to build a very successful auto glass shop with multiple locations and a company culture that is second to none. (ask him about his 10 values).

Throughout his successful career, John gives credit to a handful of mentors who helped him get to where he's at, and we dove heavily down the rabbit hole of how to find a good mentor and how to act as a good mentee. This section of the episode was an outstanding reminder of the value of giving back to the next generation, and to never be afraid to ask advice from people who have been where you aspire to go. We got a ton of value out of our conversation with John, and his outlook on business, culture, customer service, and life has stuck with use in some profound ways since the episode. Can't wait for you all to jump in.

Thanks for listening!🍊
